Home Learning for Term 2.
Learning to spell in Year 1
As part of your child’s transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage to the National Curriculum, your child will be receiving weekly Maths homework challenges.

These challenges, where possible, will be linked to the children’s learning in school, and will be activities that you can support your child with at home.

The homework challenge for each week will be sent out each Wednesday and should be returned to school by the following Monday. Children will be given a Maths Challenge Book which they can use to record their home learning in any way in which they like. This can be as creative and informal as you choose!

There will also be a termly overview of the Maths learning in the front of the Maths Challenge book. However, this is a guide and may change according to the children’s learning and development.
