As the Headteacher of The Brent Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our friendly, caring environment where our goal is to work in partnership with parents to best benefit our children.
At The Brent Primary School, we strive to ensure that our children receive the very best education that we can deliver. Our core purpose is to enable all pupils to excel in their academic, social and personal achievement. We achieve this through creating a safe, stimulating, supportive and inclusive environment where the health, safety and well-being of all members of our community are at the heart of everything we do. At our school, we promote a passion for life-long learning through an engaging curriculum that develops independent learners. We develop citizens who will take their place confidently within a rapidly changing world at local, national and global levels. Respect for self and respect for others underpins all aspects of school life. We believe every child is entitled to enjoy his or her childhood. As a consequence, The Brent will always be a friendly and welcoming place, where laughter is often heard and definitely encouraged.
I am extremely proud of my very strong team. My staff give far in excess of what is required of them because they care deeply about The Brent. As a consequence, children made accelerated progress in all year groups last year. Our Brent children are a credit to themselves, their families and their school.
A few facts;
· Our Year 6 pupils achieved SATs results above national average,
· 16 Year 6 pupils (29%) passed the 'grammar school test' compared to 25% for Kent,
· Our Foundation Stage results are above national average,
· Our Year 1 phonics screening is above national average,
· All year groups made accelerated progress,
· The Local Authority inspection saw 100% good teaching, as well as outstanding practice.
Our children attend a school where results are above national average and children make better than expected progress. Further, our children attend a school where they are valued and cared for in all aspects of their development.
The following report was received by the school recently and we feel it provides further testament to our school's continued success:
